France High School Protests Escalate as Violence Spreads Nationwide, PM Calls Crisis Meeting
France’s growing high school student protests over teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms and deteriorating school facilities have intensified, with hundreds of schools affected, thousands of students detained and violent incidents reported in several cities. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has called an emergency cabinet meeting as authorities move some classes online.
