Iran Warns ‘Critical Hours Ahead’ as Lebanon Fighting Intensifies

Tensions across the Middle East are reaching a critical point as Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, warned that the “coming hours are very critical” amid ongoing diplomatic and military developments.

According to Iranian officials, a delegation from Iran is set to travel to Islamabad for talks with the United States. However, Tehran has outlined firm conditions for any potential agreement, insisting that Washington must intervene to halt Israeli military actions in Lebanon.

Khatibzadeh emphasized that any meaningful peace arrangement in the region must include Lebanon, highlighting the interconnected nature of the ongoing conflicts.

🔥 Violence Escalates in Southern Lebanon

Meanwhile, the situation on the ground in southern Lebanon continues to deteriorate rapidly. Continuous aerial activity, including jets and drones, has been reported across the region.

Recent strikes in areas such as Sidon and Tyre have resulted in at least 17 fatalities within a 12-hour period. Reports indicate that many of the victims were civilians, including women and children.

Additional strikes have been recorded in regions like Bint Jbeil and Marjayoun, as well as parts of the Bekaa Valley, signaling a widening scope of military operations.

In response, Hezbollah has launched rockets toward northern Israel, further escalating tensions and triggering air raid alerts in affected areas.

🌉 Infrastructure Damage and Humanitarian Concerns

Critical infrastructure has also been severely impacted. A key bridge connecting Tyre to other parts of Lebanon sustained heavy damage in overnight strikes. Although temporary repairs have restored limited movement, many crossings over the Litani River have been destroyed or rendered unusable.

Local officials warn that continued targeting of infrastructure could isolate southern regions entirely, making access to medical care and essential supplies increasingly difficult.

Aid workers have also raised concerns over safety, with reports indicating that medical teams operating in conflict zones are coming under threat.

Despite ongoing diplomatic signals, there is currently no indication of a slowdown in fighting. The situation remains volatile, with both military actions and political negotiations unfolding simultaneously.
