NATO has extended its appreciation to Iraq and partner countries for helping relocate its personnel safely to Naples, highlighting effective international cooperation.

NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich, has expressed appreciation to Iraq and allied nations for supporting the safe relocation of NATO personnel from the country to the alliance’s command in Naples, Italy.

In a statement, he also praised the members of NATO Mission Iraq, highlighting their dedication and professionalism as they continued their duties throughout the transition period.

The alliance confirmed that all remaining personnel from NATO Mission Iraq have now departed Iraq and will resume their work from Naples.

NATO Mission Iraq is a non-combat initiative focused on advising and strengthening Iraq’s security institutions. Its objective is to help Iraqi forces maintain stability, combat terrorism, and prevent the resurgence of ISIL (ISIS).
